St. Agnes didn’t provide Erick Klein with much support, but he didn’t need much. Klein pitched seven strong innings to carry St. Agnes to a 1-0 win over West Lutheran in seven innings on Thursday at West Minnehaha Recreation Center.
St. Agnes held West Lutheran without a run while Klein was on the mound. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up eight.
Isaac Grooms was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed one run.
The lone run of the game for St. Agnes crossed the plate in the second inning on an error.
